Mercedes Prevatt

Young and talented Mercedes Prevatt has received the 2014 Kathleen Armstrong Kilgour (KAK) Dance Scholarship.


During the award ceremony on Saturday 14th June, Nancy Herrera, Artistic Director of Metamorphosis explained that "Mercedes was chosen for her commitment and passion for dance. She has shown amazing promise and maturity for her age. She is disciplined, determined and hard-working."

Herrera continues that " a very short space of  time Mercedes has become an important member of the company, dancing alongside the more established and experienced members of the Company and holding her own. She is personable and fun to be around with a great sense of humour and has developed a good relationship with her fellow dancers and choreographers."

Mercedes is currently a Form 5 student at the British Academy and hopes to study dance at university. She would like to become a professional dancer as a career.
